Eddie Lucio and Rep Eddie Lucio III carried a bill thru the Texas Legislature allowing UTB-TSC to charge each student $7 per semester hour to fund all athletics at the University. Spring 2012 enrollment at UTB-TSC is approximately 12,500 (excluding dual enrollment).</div><div><span style="font-style: normal; ">If an average student takes 30 hours during the year, the total revenue produced for this fund would equal $2,625,000.
